I’ve rebuilt my blog!

A few years ago I had put a bit of effort into porting my old Jekyll blog over to Ghost, including all my old posts from years of Ruby, and JS tinkering.

But, I guess I never put in any billing information. So it was queued for deletion.

Oops. Here we are again! Decided the world probably didn’t need my decade old Ruby content, so I left it behind in the github archives.

I’m Aaron Miler, a native of Portland, Oregon, and VP of Engineering at ROH. We build a financial infrastructure platform for the hospitality industry.

Work

I’ve been tinkering with technology most of my life, but started building software professionally in the early 2010s. Most of it in Ruby, all of it full stack.

Sitting in a player/coach role leading my team. I spend most of my mornings on calls with my Eastern Time colleagues, planning initiatives and designing features. Then get some heads down time in the afternoons to build out foundational tooling, and drive the team forward.
